Hi Chillys, why is there no movement in the Creative and Editorial departments of the site,i see the hot downloads is humming along but not the other categories.I know i uploaded 3 images about a month ago and thought maybe 2 would pass your stringent eyes, but not of lately have i seen many additions to the site.Obviously you don't need reminding of backlog problems, but i mentioned it anyways

Interesting that we are seeing images uploaded in late August, and online a few days later, yet we have images from weeks ago still waiting.

Just curious, how many chilly's work on processing the uploaded images?

I just noticed 5 images uploaded on Sep 2 and on the site now, less than 2 days.Obviouslly favouritism going on here.they will say something like, but there images have more saleability as there's people in them or whatever, that's bull dust,no one should be jumping any queue's,there's a procedure to follow for urgent requests as asked off by the site.

I know of three for all the site, there's David and Barbs, then there's another fellow that looks after the sales when their on holiday.

mind you there could be whole swarm of chillies i don't know about all getting in each others way mucking up our uploads, but doubt it.

what I have noticed is that - for example - I upload photos on the 1st of the month, some more on the 7th, and a few more on the 14th, then all those photos are dealt with at the same time on the 16th, so to an outsider it could look as though my last ones were getting favourite treatment to someone who uploaded a whole lot on the 2nd or 4th.

Yes Eyeball that is a reason for processing out of sequence on occasions, and on other occasions recently uploaded images are processed first for other reasons too.

The image just uploaded now of the 4 willows, came in today, and has been processed first because it was marked by the photographer for urgent processing - this was done because an overseas client had expressed interest in purchasing the image and the photographer chose to upload it to mychillybin to facilitate such a possible transaction.

cheers for now

And how did the client see this image before it was uploaded?

It was a winner in an international competition and the photographer was contacted directly.

As for us we prefer to assume the best about peoples motivations and behaviours, whilst keeping an open mind to other possibilities, rather than assuming the worst and making accusations - life works well that way most of the time.

Sorry but it doesn't make sense, if that client went direct to photographer, why would they sell through a stock agency for less commission

Photographer is a loyal long term supporter of mychillybin and so chose to do it this way for convenience of the transaction. Others have done the same too previously.

I have noticed that the team will offer personal feedback on a lot of the images when selecting or rejecting which is quite helpful. I don't know of any other stock site that does that, so maybe that's why it can take longer in some instances.
