It might just be my timing, but I only seem to see about two Chillybins appearing in the Featured Chillybin section (Pohutukawas for example - don't get me wrong these are beautiful images). However, if other Chillybins were featured it might be useful for promotion, so buyers searching the site might be inspired to check out more of our neat images.

Hi Karen.
How do these actually work. I see a few photographers have made their own up with only their images and I see chillybins with a mix of photographers on the selected subject. When you make one and have more than 15 images in it, when does it come up public for others to view? Surely we don't have to wait for photos to be reviewed by MCB team, as all the photos have already been checked and accepted on download.

I was in contact with a web-design person who was interested in images I have on my web-site, so I thought I would make a chillybin up of particular images I have on mychillybin, as I have so many pages with images that are not what she would be looking for, but after I made it up with more than 15 images, it did not show up with all the rest of the chillybins. I could get into it through my profile but I did not see it on the public page or a means of directing her straight to it, so I have deleted it for now until I know how it actually works and won't mention viewing images that way just yet.

Sincerely,
Kathleen.

Kathleen, when you have made your chillybin and added the images, go to the Chillybins part of the site and you will see on the right your own bin listed with some other functions. One is the 'edit' icon (a pencil). When you click on that you can choose a drop down option that states whether you want to make your bin public or not. Choosing 'yes' does it.

Give it another go...

Some photographers have chosen to have a chillybin with only their own images, but mine feature photos I like from any photographer.

Meant to also ask Karen, as it is a great touch to messages, how do you do your smilies? I cannot see an option to choose one. Its a great thing on alot of forums, you have a whole lot in a box to choose from, just adds a personal touch for a face expression.

Cheers,
Kathleen.

Hi Kathleen,

The smiley - just type the colon immediately followed by the normal right parenthesis (bracket). You won't see the smiley when typing it, but it shows as such on the site. And, I am Thysje, not Karen.

I like the idea of both ... having a chillybin with own images (especially if I had enough lovely images) and a chillybin with mixed as other peoples images still generate traffic when people are drawn to look at the bin .... :}

So sorry Thysje, now I need one of those smiles with a very red face. I get a smiley with a wink, so I take it I have not offended you.

Again, sincere apologises,
Kathleen.

I'll have a try and see if it works :-) did it turn into a picture or not.

Hi Kathleen

Don't put the hyphen in it - type the : then the ) without any space or anything in between. Same with the wink one, type ; then the )
as long as you don't type anything between Big Grin
