Hi All

Can anyone recommend a site where i can sell my non stock photography images, preferably a New Zealand site.I don't have my own website and since i have a few hundred images i'd like to try and make a few bucks extra,no use sitting in a hard drive taking up space ,i'm a member of photosales but there in a mess at the moment so don't know what's going on there.Ideally i'd like the site to host some of my pics and pay them a percentage, and they must have credit card facilities as most people just want to make a one click purchase these days, thanks.

Well, I'd recommend Redbubble... it's not a New Zealand site, but rather an Australian one, but it has an international audience. You can upload your photos and offer them for sale as cards, mounted prints, lamininated prints, framed prints, etc.

I haven't seen Redbubble, will check it out. Also look at clickpic.com. This is a UK site but you can buy a NZ domain name.

Brenda,

I've spent two days now in RedBubble-Land getting lost amongst the pages. I wondered if you had ever sold anything on this site?

Redbubble doesn't display well for me in any of my browsers.

I don't know of an NZ site of the kind you want Canon. Not a 'stock' site as MCB, just somewhere that can display your photos on one of their template type websites with shopping cart facilities? Perhaps with options for prints?

I'm a member of Photoshelter (not NZ) which would probably fit the bill. They charge a fee for hosting a pro site and there's lots of options including archiving. They have some great fine arts photographers on their list and that's why I joined. However, all I've done is join and not gone any further and this was well before I joined MCB. I'm thinking of using their 'back end' system for my own website to sell fine arts prints. But this is still in the pipeline.

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for your input,i have decided to go to a site in the U.S.A. called Exposuremanager. As usual it wasn't as easy as it sounded, now i have to learn what Headers and footers are and how to create and edit style sheets not to mention templates, perhaps one of the designers from here could lend me a hand for a fee of course, otherwise it has everything i am looking for in a website. If anyone else is going to have a look please use http://www.exposuremanager.com/aff/canonball and we'll get a discount ,cheers.

Chillys,Hope i'm not in breach of Mychillbins regulations with the website thread going on here, when i get the site up and running i {or someone else more likely }will be putting your button on it advertising for us both ,thanks.

Hi Canon S.I.

This thread is fine, as you are writing about a potential resource/solution for your non-stock images. We're all about being transparent and open, and see no probs with this at all.

One of the terms a photographer agrees to when completing their mychillybin application is providing images to mychillybin on an exclusive basis. That is, an image that is accepted into the mychillybin library is exclusive to mychillybin and is not permitted to be supplied to another stock library (NZ or international).

By the way love your harvesting potato series!

Cheers for now,
Mel
