Hi Chillys

Not a complaint, but can someone please explain your hours of operation,or your workflow practice?Seems that some weeks you post images on a mon-fri basis, then some weeks there's a mon - thurs and posting begins again on sun - whenever.I'm a shiftworker myself and know that you have to get into a routine to operate smoothly, and having posting going on whenever it suits someone, is the message i'm recieving,{not the first time i've been wrong :-)}Cheers.

Hi Canon_S.I

We are flattered that you take such notice of the mcb image activation schedule The benefit of being an online business is that our image reviewers can work outside of the 9-5.

Thanks again for keeping an eye on us.

Cheers,
The we-have-no-social-life mychillybin team.

The reviewers are doing a good job as my images only took 2 days to be posted so they must've caught up heaps, well done :-)

You're lucky. Mine can sometimes take up to two weeks to get reviewed

Maybe there should be more reviewers. One stock site I belonged to had reviewers world wide and never took more than 48 hours to let you know irrespective of the number of images one submitted. Maybe mychillybin could get help from other centres and photographers around the country instead of just relying on one or two people who don't seem able to cope with the volume of images being submitted

Hi Photohunter & all MCB photographers,

We appreciate your patience and are currently in the process of increasing the reviewing team to speed up the image processing turnaround. We are aiming to have a 2 to 4 day turnaround.

We'd be keen to hear your feedback on what you think is a reasonable turnaround period....

Cheers,
Mel

Hi Mel and Rosie

Obviously the more photographers that come on board the more images that have to be processed,no brainer there i guess,so more people to process images i would think,as Photohunter mentioned before 48 hours would be a good turnaround time for all {photographers and clients}.If you ever expand your offices down to ch-ch in the future i would apply to be a reviewer ;-)

The one site I was on previously invited some of their better photographers to become reviewers. Each reviewer was given access to the holding bay and each photo had to approved by two reviewers before being accepted. If the first reviewer rejected an image then it was rejected immediately and did not go to the second reviewer. Reviewers were able to communicate with each other if necessary to discuss images they were not completely happy with before making a decision. I was lucky enough to have been invited as a first reviewer and made frieds with other reviewers internationally. Unfortunatley the site was purchased by another person when it had 100000 images in it and was then closed down by the new owner.

One other thing about the other site I mentinoed was that reviewers were allowed to also enter images but could not review their own.

Hi photohunter, how does one define a better photographer?by the volume of sales, experience in the field, competition wins or images published in major publications ect,as i see it, the person shooting an image sees it there way first, then when it is put up for anyone else to see be it online or print they will interpret the image there way,so i cant see how people win photo competitions as a judge next door would see the image through completely different eyes with there own interpretation ect, ooops, getting of track now, sorry :-).So i guess i'm saying one sees black and one sees white, and probably better having one person reviewing without consulting another for their opinion.
