Posts 637 		In the next upgrade of the site the options for image search on the mychillybin site will soon also include an extra wide i.e. panoramaand a extra tall category.

Whilst there are many existing extra wide images, there are relatively few extra tall images on site. So the chillys are keen to have some tall images submitted. The sorts of images that would be chosen to print on custom wallpaper for residential or nonresidential use, or banners at conferences, events, or in retail spaces. Even home art with the image sometimes spread across multiple separate prints for artistic effect. Requests we have had for tall images (and been unable to meet) include Kowhai flowers, and flax, so perhaps think native trees, plants etc in the first instance. Although any subjects including people with a distinctive NZness are potentially suitable.

By tall images we mean images where the height is at least three times the width. Ideally say 6,000 to 14,000 pixels in height which typically means stitched images. These will fit into the new XXX Large size category in terms of pricing. Smaller images (non stitched) in greater than 3 to 1 proportion are also be helpful to include. Panorama mode images from cell phones and compact cameras typically do not produce the sort of image quality that we are looking for.

If submitting these please mark them for Urgent Processing.

This does not mark a departure from our main customer focus on the needs of Designers and Others Doing Similar Work. Instead it is just adding extra image segments to the library - segments that these people occasionally request and that there will be a growing need for.

Select General image use for all applications that are not purely editorial in nature.

Note that whilst these images will be suitable for Editorial Use, some of these images are not able to be used for General purposes as they contain brands, people, etc without needed legal releases.

Select the Exclusive Use Licence Full or Forward for exclusive image use, for a specified period of time.


May be used in the following applications:

(i) Editorial content - material that is of genuine public interest and free of advertising and advertorial content.

Except when the actual image is shown to be for Editorial Use Only, then it can also be used for the specified period in the sames way as the Enhanced Licence, as follows

(ii)   Items not for resale (e.g. ads, marketing materials, websites, social media posts, unpaid apps, posters, flyers, reports, ...)

(iii)   Items for resale (e.g. use of image on coasters, paid apps, screensavers, or printed map books, reports, magazine covers etc that are sold on websites or through shops ...)

Specified Period - images may not be used beyond the specified period, without a further licence of some type being obtained.
