The last three newsletters announced the winners of the Ethnic prize to Graham Prentice, the Selfie prize to Kathleen Shepherd, the bivvy or bach to Alistair Lang, and the Kiwi Kai to Karen Williamson - for the images below.

It is well past time that we announced the last remaining prize, for best set of 3 images, one from each category. This has been selected from those photographers who entered each category. Graham Prentice's three image impressed most; showing talent right across the range of themes (even though none of these won the individual categories).

Looking at these again afresh tonight, they bring back many memories of a Kiwi summer. Sand, snow-freeze (look at the interest in that face), and we'd like to call it a 'snapper' for the consonance, but not when its a King Fish! Great work 'King' Graham, another $125 on its way to you too.

We can only show one image in the system, as the winner on the competition for Summer 14, and have decided - well why not show the photographer - Graham's selfie - The King, for now!

Pippas "Same, but different". topic has another 2 weeks to run yet, and the entries will open tonight.

i.e same person, but different expressions, haircut; same scene, but different day, light, weather; same plant, but different growth; same house, but different stages of being built; same stretch of road, but with different traffic patterns, day and night etc etc. Open for a month with (up to) four image submissions per person - 2 pairs different, or all 4 variations on the same.
