new flyer - to help with enlisting models
A 4 page informative flyer has been designed to help mychillybin photographers to enlist models - for both the June photo competition (Portraits at Work), and also for general photo submissions. The front page is shown below. Use this flyer only with people who you think will respond well to its keep-it-real message.
recommended use
- Read the flyer yourself from front to back so you know everything written on it.
- Hand write your name and your phone number in the photographer line in both the model release and property release pages - this handwritten element is very important to both personalise it and also to enable easy response. Even better if you can write the model (and property owner) name too - makes it even more personal.
- Explain that if the photos are taken in a public place (e.g. park), no property release is needed.
- Ask the prospective model to think about what sort of images they would be most comfortable with, and that you will call them in a few days to see if they have any questions. Don't ask them to call you.
- When completed these release forms can photographerd ready for upload with relevant photos.
getting copies
The front page of the flyer (shown above) can be clicked to go to a pdf of the full flyer that can be saved, and then printed as you wish on your own printer, or at a local copy shop. There is also an on-site link to the flyer (presently) on the RHS of this page. It is best printed A4 double sided, and then folded to a final A5 size. (It can also be enlarged to 141% and printed on A3 to fold to final A4 size if you prefer).
Or, if you are intending to enter the Portraits at Work competition, you can email the chillys and ask them to send you a few professionally digitally printed copies in the mail.
After this flyer has been in use for a while and feedback has been received it will be revised as necessary, and a large offset print run completed so that lots of copies are available for mychillybin photographers.
