I see there is a new competition.
What happened with that Bokeh Competition?
Did I miss the results?

I selected my Bokeh entries with Xmas Images in mind, which now seems like a bad call...

If it's too hard to judge these competitions - why not make it Peoples Choice and get ChillyBin Members to vote on it

Give us only 1 week to vote - Vote for 1st, 2nd, 3rd - then it's done - and we can all move on to the next one!

The two that I submitted don't even show on the What's New yet? Maybe they didn't cut the mustard?

Yes apologies to you and others on this, we are very slow on processing Bokeh. The first two were processed and went up earlier today (see them by searching 'Bokeh 13') and the rest are planned to go up tomorrow / Saturday - along with a newsletter going out with the results, and mentioning the new Summer competition.

We have tried to watch for Christmas images in the general processing queue (which is quite short except for 2 photographers with very large numbers, but unfortunately missed those in the bokeh competition queue. Christmas images ideally should be up by October to catch the full market opportunity.

Certainly open to ideas on different judging processes.

Good news on sales in December 2013; clearly going to be an all time record by over 30% for a December month.

cheers for now

The remaining November 2013 Bokeh competition images have been processed through to site today, and can be seen by searching, with Editorial Clicked, for Bokeh 13.

Tomorrow we plan to check all entries are present, decide on a result, and send a newsletter.

Well done Ray, lovely shot. Normally the light through the bush and trees plays havoc on our photos for distraction, or metering exposure, even the dew or raindrops as well; but you have taken all this into an advantage for your shot with shallow depth of field and lovely fill light on the robin and made a great image.
