Just a correction there Thomas, its not 38%, its 35% to the photographer and 40% on enhanced licence, on price before gst is added, so less than you thought.

Hmm, you're right, that's what it says under http://www.mychillybin.co.nz/Submission_Guide.aspx?id=3 - but I have done the maths again and I'm still under the impression that I'm getting paid 38%... Must hav ebben changed at some stage?

Hi Thomas. The prices given on the home page if thats what you are working on have gst included in the prices. Take the gst off and you have the price we get paid 35% on I think how it works out.

Yea, you are right Thomas, doing the sums I get the same, 38%. $25.00 less gst is $21.74. 38% on $21.74 is $8.26 which is what we get for our small photo. Sorry, I should have done the sums first before posting referring to the submission guide.

Well the cats out of the bag now isn't it! No problem. The chillys like to under promise and over deliver whenever possible. So all the information on site talks of photographers receiving a 35% share.

However on a purely discretionary basis (and up till now without comment on site) when photographers have established themselves as leading contributors to the mychillybin community - their payment share has been increased to 38%. At this stage in the community development, one indicator of this is achieving around 100 image sales. Hence the 38% you note in your comments.

The photographers share of net revenue is actually significantly higher than these numbers suggest as these photographer %'s are paid on the nominal face value of credits used. Whereas mychillybin offers discounts for volume purchase at various levels up to 12%. Such discounts, and the credit card processing fee are all allocated 100% to mychillybin.

In addition to the sales growth already regularly being achieved, a number of exciting projects are under way to increase value for customers and so to raise revenues for both photographers and mychillybin - watch this space over the next few months.

cheers for now
the chillys

PS For the clever and the brave - I think we don't have a photo of the cat leaping out of the bag, nor of closing the barn door once the horse has bolted.

And i'm sure you won't receive these images either...Why say that Chillys? Is that why you haven't loaded any images all week apart from sales? Because your pee'd off, that's the impression i read from here.

Chillys are quite happy - but will probably not be uploading images till next week cause 1 of the team is on leave this week.

Still lots of images coming in - so next week will be a huge task to catch up again.

Cheers for now
