Well done,Karen Williamson,Alistair Lang,Karen Doidge, and Lynn Clayton on your selections as the may winners of this soon to be famous M.CB. photo competitions,i'm sure this will only grow over time.

Also i see one of my editorial images sold,so living proof that these images do sell, cheers.

And good luck Kathleen on your judging appointment.Does that mean you will still enter the comps?and if so who will judge you?Sorry, have to ask...

I'm leaving this one all up to you and the others Canon SI, have fun and shutter buttons into gear. Looking forward to seeing all those fab or weird jobs us kiwi's do. Cheers.

Actually, after thinking about it,i don't see why you can't enter as the chillys would have the final say.I'm thinking there's David,Barb, and yourself,as judges so democracy would rule...Even under John Keys government i'm sure we still have democracy..

Don't we??..lol

Well - not so sure about democracy (by the way could you see John Key in Karen's Making Eyes photo?) - but the chillys are thinking that they can give Kathleen anonymous images to judge (no numbers showing who the photographer is), so she can decide all by herself.

besides one of the the chillys has a migraine after today
cheers for now

No gain without pain,as they say...and firmly believe that quote.

Kathleen may well have no numbers shown on images, which is good in one way,but in another she will know her own,who then decides if the chillys aren't involved?

I'll give it a rest now, have a great relaxing weekend Chillys.

My very hearty congratulations to the 4 winners and thanks again to MCB - this time for lovely detailed explanations of what they liked about the images on their shortlist and the other 3 images. This is incredibly helpful information to guide us all toward more of what MCB wants.

Congratulations, Kathleen! I don't envy anyone on the judging panel so I consider you very brave to do so. Hope you have fun with it too (I am sure you will).

Thanks kiwiangel, I look forward to seeing everyones fantastic images. As everyone is very different in how they photograph a set subject that does make it fun and very interesting. All the best
