An update on uploaded images;

Most of the work is now complete on a new program to process inbound images, which will likely be in use in a few days time. This new process will provide additional feedback for photographers, and will also remove some of the slower administrative parts of the task for the chillys - thus speeding up the process overall.

Those who uploaded images last week received a note explaining that the review team were next processing images again today (Monday 5th Sept). There is a bit of a backlog which we will clear as fast as possible - and even more quickly once the new processing program is ready to use. So on to image processing again once outstanding new photographer applications are processed.

Thanks for your patience - and let us know by email to [email protected] if there are any images that are especially time sensitive.

After a few initial glitches today which were quickly fixed the new image processing system is now operating beautifully - hope you enjoy the improved feedback with small images to help with identification.

The processing team will be operating full strength next week (and with some long days too I expect) to catch up the backlog.

cheers for now

Today the team processed today all those photographers with 4 or fewer images in their holding bay, a time sensitie fireworks image that was noticed, and then worked on earliest arrival date thereafter, other than those with outstanding problems to resolve. Similar plan for tomorrow, those with 6 or fewer, and then earliest arrivals.

Team processed today all photographers with 6 or less images waiting, a few time sensitive Editorial Only images on the Auckland Celebrations for opening of the RWC 2011, and then further batches of images in approx date of order received.

Thanks for all these - and those who have commented favourably on the extra detail coming in photo acceptance emails.
