OK I'm not a newbie here, but it's been bugging me - I still don't know what a Chillybin on MCB is for. I get that they're collections of images of similar subjects, and even made one myself some time ago (I couldn't resist the chance to gather some of my fave images from other photographers here in the one file)... but still don't know the purpose of them! Are they there to help buyers more effectively search for images on particular subjects? Do they not deter buyers from using the search engine and seeing ALL the images on their subject rather than just those chosen by the chillybin creator? I'm sure someone can explain it to me. Thanks!

Andie good question, because lightboxes (or chillybins as they are called at mychillybin) are used in a number of ways by different people. Below are the uses that come to mind - others may be able to comment on additional uses.

* Image customers, when searching for images build chillybins comprising images of potential interest, so that they can review these prospects at the end of a search/selection session. Importantly they can also email these Chillybins to their clients or to others involved in their project so that they can be reviewed together. Typically they keep these chillybins private for reasons of client confidential work, so others do not see them.

* Image customers, less frequently, will view a public chillybin of images that has a name that seems of possible interest to them.

* Some mychillybin photographers make chillybins of their own and or others images of a particular type, to help them in deciding what further pics to shoot for submission. Or to send to an interested customer.

* Some mychillybin photographers make public chillybins hoping to attract the interest of image customers.

* Some mychillybin photographers make private or public chilllybins purely for personal enjoyment.

Hope this helps - and welcome any comments on other uses.

The chillys.
