Everything is soooo old! Thought I'd check in, haven't been uploading for a while, but looking around I'm not really inspired to load fresh content. The Community News for example - the content is YEARS old. In the Photographer Lounge the recently uploaded photos are from earlier in the year.
Is this still a going concern? Mychillybin still seemed to be reasonably active last year, but this year? hmmm.
I'm sure others feel the same? It's becoming rather 'chilly' in the bin.

I think all of us want mychillybin to do well, afterall when we get an image sale here it is a lot lot more than many stock sites out there. I think the most recent uploads to the site, must have been a catch up because images I uploaded in November were uploaded fairly quickly. It certainly would be nice if when we upload an image it was live within 24 hours

It definitely has gone a bit quiet. Would be good to know from admin what the plans for the site are. Chillybin has such potential and there is little competition in the market for real NZ images like we have in this library.

Yes thanks for these comments; the chillys are a bit frustrated too, as our efforts this year to lift sales back to previous levels have so far not been very effective, although the decline has been halted.

The lack of success is not due to a lack of good images, as the site has the best range of NZ people images available for commercial use, as well as a very wide range of scenic images. We also have a wide customer base and brand awareness. Both of these are great foundations to build from, and hard for competitors to replicate.

It is frustratingly taking longer than expected to adjust to some adverse changes in the SEO environment, and to gain the exposure that we seek, and previously enjoyed.

We are very thankful to photographers who have stuck with us through the more difficult last couple of years. We expect that good success can be achieved again. This is our challenge for first half 2020.

Have you thought about Instagram as a marketing tool? It's perfect for imagery.

For sure Pixelated, i have even stopped photography as i don't feel the inspiration or drive to get out there anymore, have even bought a new lens {400mm F5.6} for wildlife and moon shots to cheer myself up but really can't be bothered at the moment, perhaps if the site picks itself up i will get back into photography, Good luck Chillies!!

Yes, I too, have been put off from uploading photos as there is so little happening. I have plenty going on in other areas of my life that have also caused photography to be put on the back burner (new business, new shop). I hope mychillybin can recover and grow again. I'm still in, and I still hope to process more images to upload as time permits.

Definitely cheering chillys on for success.

Unfortunately i feel it's going to take a lot more than that to get this site into the 21st century, i'm 61 now and i believe that this site needs someone that is 21 to get this site where it belongs digitally in N.Z. and beyond.Perhaps beyond is a key factor here, just saying.

The big current question to how to produce mychillybin 2.0. Modify the current site, build a new one, or utilise an existing application with modifications?

cheers for now
