mychillybin

 Hello $$FIRSTNAME$$,

mychillybin photographers' news
3 opportunities

mychillybin Collections are coming ...
Details were provided i
n early April on the photographers forum about the intention to establish and promote a number of Collections of extra high quality images.  It was suggested that the establishment of any Collection would in general be guided by the following principles (ideally all to apply);
1. Must have a cohesive subject.
2. Must be for a subject area for which there is significant demand and limited image availability.
3. May either contain images from multiple mychillybin photographers (or if an individual mychillybin photographer has an appropriate collection on their own then some could reflect the work of one photographer only).
4. Image acceptance standard (composition, technical image quality, and pixel size etc) would be significantly higher than regular mychillybin image acceptance.
5. Acceptance of images for Collections would be after invitation from mychillybin; although suggestions/nominations from members would be most welcome.
6. The same pricing to apply (initially anyway) as standard mychillybin images (users like the current single price business model) - the benefit for the photographer (and mychillybin) being more prominence on site and hence more sales.
No decision has been made on the minimum number of images for a Collection - it may vary depending on the collection theme.  They may be images already on the site, new images to be supplied, or a combination of both.  Whilst mychillybin is in discussion with some photographers regarding possible collection images, if you would like to nominate 'bundles of common theme images' for consideration for a mychillybin collection then pop them in a chilllybin and let us know

Images from Rob Tucker ...
Rob Tucker's existing images will only be available to mychillybin till early June 2012.  The chillys thank Rob for all the great images he has made available over the years, and wish him well with further steps in his already highly distinguished photography career.   Rob's departure will of course leave a few gaps in the library for a while, for other mychillybin photographers to fill.  One such area is portraits of people at work. So to help with this task the June photo competition subject will be 'Work Portraits'.  Self-at-work portraits accepted too of course. Are you up for the challenge?

"Making ... " photo competition for May

mychillybin collections wow

The "Making ... " monthly competition closes at the end of May, with now 13 images already entered.  Here is another existing library image which can have a "Making ..." theme (a loose connection is fine) -
"Making Haste" by
Natalia Tellechea.   Making ... progress with your entries?

cheers for now
