By crikey, we've won a W³ Award!

The Chilly's were more than a little chuffed when we found out recently that mychillybin.co.nz won Silver at the 2009 W³ Awards!  As the first ever major international web competition available and open to all - from big hot-shot agencies to little wee indies and collectives - the W³ Awards are global in their reach and sanctioned by the International Academy of Visual Arts.  A “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms, the International Academy of Visual Arts includes members from Conde Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, Fry Hammond Barr, HBO, Monster.com, MTV and many others.

So it's safe to say we're completely over the moon that our wee site has received acclaim & kudos from such a crowd.  We are still grinning about the news, as are the team at Advocate Advertising (formally Hot Creative) - the talent behind the design and development of our site.  Winning an international award is no mean feat for any agency and these guys deserve big ups for their hard work and outstanding creativity, (check out some of their other work at advocateadvertising.co.nz).  It just goes to prove that award winning look and feel is achievable - especially when you team it with a whole heap of gorgeous Kiwi images taken by talented Kiwi photographers.

The W³ Awards annually honour outstanding websites, web advertising and web video. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies. For more info on the awards check out: www.w3award.com.

Meantime, thanks also to all our members and photographers who have played a part in making mychillybin.co.nz a dynamic, informative community for the creative industry here in Aotearoa and beyond.  Take a bow & pour yourself a drink - we are...!
